Brighton Residents Knit Clothes Benefiting Welcome Baby Program

Posted: November 3, 2016

Since 2011, residents participating in our Brighton Knitting Project have knitted and crocheted blankets, hats and socks for babies to benefit the Family Nurturing Center's Welcome Baby program, which provides a celebratory home visit to low-income families with newborns in Dorchester, Roslindale, West Roxbury, Hyde Park, and Allston-Brighton. Each visitor brings a gift bag with baby essentials, including our residents' handmade items.

Today, our volunteers completed assembling 21 bags for this wonderful cause.

Thank you to Resident Service Coordinator Polina Margolin for leading this project and to everyone who participated!
