“My grandfather found a safe and bustling community full of friends and activities and programs while still maintaining his independence in his own beautiful, modern apartment. Ulin House not only enriched my grandfather’s life, it gave my family comfort to know that he was so well cared for.”

Wendy Kraft
Wendy Kraft has been a 2Life Board Member since 2018.
“As our parents are aging, these can be very challenging times. With love in our hearts, it is our obligation to honor thy mother and father. How fortunate we are that 2Life Communities gives us the opportunity to do so. Together we are building a world where every senior feels respect and dignity and has the chance to live a full life of joy and purpose.”

Norman Posner
Norman Posner has been a 2Life Board Member since 2013 and currently serves as Treasurer.
“My mother lived at Golda Meir House for seven years, one of its first residents. It was such a kind environment — a perfect place for her. 2Life has a special place in my heart. This is my way of giving back both in time and philanthropy, because no one should have to worry if their parents are safe.”
Keynote Speaker

Dr. Simon Johnson is the Ronald A. Kurtz Professor of Entrepreneurship at the MIT Sloan School of Management. In October, he received the Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences jointly with Daron Acemoglu and James A. Robinson. He worked closely with 2Life during the first and most frightening year of COVID, enabling us to understand and access the latest knowledge on testing strategies that were effective with older adults.

Our Mission
Our mission is to ensure that all seniors have the opportunity to thrive. To that end, we develop, own, operate, and provide supportive services to every one of our communities. In all we do, we advocate for and empower older adults to age with purpose and joy, meeting the integrated needs of seniors guided by our shared values of lovingkindness, community, and repairing the world.

The Challenges We Address
The two greatest challenges seniors face are economic insecurity and social isolation — exacerbated in Massachusetts by the desperate shortage of affordable, supportive housing for older adults.
2Life not only provides super senior housing and services; through its advocacy work, it defines what it means to age successfully.

Our Impact
2Life’s “aging in community” approach addresses residents’ mental, physical, spiritual, cultural, and economic needs with the goal of allowing them to stay in their communities as long as possible.
In fact, approximately 20% of 2Life residents qualify for nursing home support, yet approximately 2% end up moving into nursing homes.
