AFFORDABLE HOUSING FOR ADULTS AGE 62+ | NEWTON, MA

Welcome to Coleman House!

Coleman House is a vibrant, welcoming community for adults age 62+* who qualify for income-based housing, nestled on the JCC Greater Boston campus in tranquil Newton, Massachusetts. Walking trails take residents to the JCC, Newton Community Farm, and Nahanton Park. And in 2025, the campus will add Opus Newton from 2Life Communities, a new living option for middle-income seniors that will connect to Coleman House via terraced spaces that encompass a café; cultural arts, learning, and fitness areas; and patio gardens.

As 2Life builds the new Opus Newton community, full renovation of Coleman House is also under way, including community spaces and apartments. The goal is to ensure the property meets 2Life’s most up-to-date design and accessibility standards. The building will also be made more energy-efficient and will comply with Enterprise LEED Green Communities sustainability certification requirements.

* Coleman House has a limited number of ADA-compliant, subsidized apartments that have been set aside for adults under age 62 who have mobility impairment. Interested adults may contact leasing@2lifecommunities.org.
