Betsy Closs
Betsy has dedicated her professional career to helping people live their own lives in the manner that work bests for them. As executive director of Shillman House since 2017, she has actively pursued that mission every day.
Prior to joining 2Life Communities, Betsy served in a variety of roles supporting people with disabilities. She directed the Disability Inclusion Initiative at Combined Jewish Philanthropies and served as the director of disability services at Jewish Family and Children’s Service.
Betsy has a Master of Social Work degree from the Simmons College School of Social Work, a Master of Theology from Harvard Divinity School, and a bachelor’s degree from Vassar College.
