2Life ranks 47th in Top 100 Women-Led Businesses in Massachusetts

For the third time, 2Life Communities has made the list of the Top 100 Women-Led Businesses in Massachusetts, as determined by The Women's Edge and the Boston Globe.

The annual award highlights both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations run by women leaders who are making a significant impact on the state's economy. Together, the 100 organizations honored generated over $124 billion in total revenue in 2023, demonstrating that women leaders continue to be key economic drivers.

Amy Schectman

2Life made the Top 100 in both 2023 and 2022 and is steadily rising in the rankings. This year’s recognition is the first under the co-leadership structure of Amy Schectman as Saul and Gitta Kurlat Chief Executive Officer and Lizbeth Heyer as President, which leverages their 80 years of combined experience.

“Our co-leadership model allows us to build on complementary strengths,” says Schectman. “Because we share values, we can act in concert and independently simultaneously.”

“Co-leadership has allowed us to reinforce our collaborative work culture through leading by example, to deepen our impact by leaning into our individual strengths, and to maximize opportunities and innovation through shared problem solving and decision making,” says Heyer.

The Women’s Edge, a Boston-based nonprofit devoted to advancing women in leadership positions, has published the Top 100 Women-Led Businesses in Massachusetts for 24 years. This is the 12th year that the organization collaborated with the Boston Globe.

Congratulations to our two talented and collaborative leaders, who are bringing 2Life to new heights.
