Former Boston State Hospital to be the Site of a Unique Community

Boston State plan

The Dorchester Reporter highlighted the exciting new 2Life proposed project for the former Boston State Hospital. A joint effort between Lena New Boston and 2Life Communities will bring forth a unique housing situation. Two buildings will be on a section of the former hospital lot, one of which aims to integrate affordable senior housing with foster families and young people who have aged out of state foster care. More details on the project will be posted on our website as it evolves.

“One important thing to know is that all of the 40 clients in senior housing will have chosen the Tree House community to be a support to young people. Each individual resident there will have to receive MAP training as a requirement to living there.”
 - Zoe Weinrobe, Director of Real Estate Development
