2Life Communities' residents, staff and organizational leaders were on hand to welcome Governor Charlie Baker at the Golda Meir House, thanking him for his leadership on issues important to seniors and their families. The visit was recently featured on the McKnight's Senior Living website.

Governor Baker visits 2LifeWith support from the Baker-Polito Administration, 2Life built 123 new affordable apartments, modernized 408 apartments, and currently has 210 apartments in construction and 2018 new affordable apartments in the immediate pipeline. Governor Baker also established the Governor's Council on Aging in 2017 with the goal of making Massachusetts the most age-friendly state in the country, placing 2Life's President and CEO Amy Schectman on the council.
