Ithzel Polanco-Cabadas

Ensuring housing is both affordable and inclusive is a mission that has guided Ithzel throughout her career. Her experience in affordable housing began at MetroHousing Boston where she coordinated the Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) program and the Family Economic Stability (FES) program. More recently, she worked as the inaugural inclusionary housing program manager for the City of Somerville, leading the city’s Inclusionary Housing Program and building the foundation for the future Small Property Affordable Unit Program (SPAUP). She recently joined Somerville’s Fair Housing Anti-Displacement Task Force to continue working to ensure the city’s affordable housing opportunities are inclusive. Here at 2Life Communities, she puts that experience to work managing the Leland House and Golda Meir Expansion projects.

Ithzel has a bachelor’s degree in international studies from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Public Administration in international development from the School of Public Policy and Management at Tsinghua University.
