Marian has a remarkably broad perspective on the nonprofit and public sector world gained through more than 30 years of experience in grant writing, program planning, evaluation, research, data analysis, strategic planning, and training.

Prior to joining 2Life Communities in 2016, Marian was the principal of Milbauer and Associates Consulting and Senior Associate with Navin Associates, consulting to state and city agencies and major nonprofit organizations. She provided valuable guidance on issues ranging from health promotion and disease prevention to elder services and adult basic education. Earlier in her career, Marian served as women's health coordinator at Fenway Health in Boston. 

Marian earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and a Master of Public Health in health services from the Boston University School of Public Health.
