Matt has spent his career working with affordable housing developers, management companies, and investors. As a result, he is a true expert in how to navigate the areas of federal and state regulatory agencies, low-income housing tax credit rules for new housing developments, and the ever-changing reporting rules under GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Matt is a CPA with over 20 years in public accounting experience, primarily with RSM and CohnReznick in both firms’ real estate division specializing in the low-income housing tax credit industry. He has built an expertise in working through the complexities of satisfying regulatory, investor, and owner requirements in getting new projects across the finish line to operations.
Matt works hand in hand with the Real Estate Development Team on all aspects of accounting and finance for our new development projects. Matt is also responsible for accounting and reporting of our 2Life entities which develop each of our new communities.
Matt has a Bachelor of Science degree from Northeastern University. When Matt is not working he has coached youth sports, including football, wrestling, baseball, and soccer over the last 15 years.
