Raising the Roof
Join us for a special 60th anniversary celebration! This year's Raising the Roof gala will take place at the Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport on Sunday, May 18, at 6 pm. The event co-chairs are Lynne Elfland, Wendy Kraft, and Norman Posner.
Featuring Nobel Prize Winner Dr. Simon Johnson
Dr. Simon Johnson will be our keynote speaker. He is the Ronald A. Kurtz Professor of Entrepreneurship at the MIT Sloan School of Management. In October, he received the Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences jointly with Daron Acemoglu and James A. Robinson. He worked closely with 2Life during the first and most frightening year of COVID, enabling us to understand and access the latest knowledge on testing strategies that were effective with older adults.

June 6, 2024, was a spectacular evening for our annual Raising the Roof gala at Brae Burn Country Club in West Newton. This year we raised over half a million dollars, funds that will enable more older adults to age in community and thrive. The theme of the evening was volunteerism, thanks to our honoree, Alice Cutler. Watch the video for 2Life's take on the importance and beauty of volunteerism.
