Amy Schectman provides testimony in support of the Affordable Homes Act

State House hearing on the Affordable Homes Act

In a hearing before the Massachusetts Joint Committee on Housing on January 18, 2024, Amy Schectman, Saul and Gitta Kurlat Chief Executive Officer of 2Life Communities, was one of several key experts to provide testimony about the Healey-Driscoll administration's $4.12 billion Affordable Homes Act, also referred to as the housing bond bill.  

Filed in October of last year, the bill represents the largest capital investment in housing in Massachusetts history and is designed to address the state's housing shortage. The bill is now before lawmakers for legislative approval.
