From income-based, subsidized housing to tax credit programs and market-rate rental options, you’re likely to find a 2Life community you can afford. Plus, with the introduction of Opus by 2Life Communities, we’re creating a new option that puts community living within financial reach for seniors “in the middle” — those with too much income to qualify for subsidized housing and who aren’t comfortable with traditional upscale options.

Enriching programs and services
2Life’s vision comes to life through a variety of programs and services. Our dedicated staff members get to know residents personally, ensuring each individual has the opportunity to choose the programs and resources that meet their needs. The following list represents just some of what you’ll find in our communities:
- Multilingual staff and a diverse population including residents from as many as 30 countries. Each community has staff who speak multiple languages including English, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Russian.
- Private, fully-equipped apartments that can be adapted to as the resident’s needs change.
- Fitness and wellness programs with a variety of recreational and therapeutic classes.
- A pull-cord response system with on-site staff available to respond to emergencies 24/7.
- Resident Service Coordinators who advise and advocate for residents when healthcare is needed.
- Trained staff including social workers, fitness instructors, activity planners, maintenance staff, and more.
- Supportive health services including multilingual visiting nurses, on-site health fairs, and coordination with participating health insurers and primary care doctors.

Income-based apartments
Our income-based communities include apartment homes eligible for subsidized housing and tax-credit programs with rent based on income. A range of options are available to individuals and households whose incomes are no higher than 110% of the Area Median Income (AMI).

Market-rate apartments
Our market rate apartment homes are a simple rental option for those whose income is too high to qualify for subsidized options. Rent includes most utilities: water, electricity, gas, heat and hot water, with individually controlled thermostats. Some also offer dining services and parking.

Opus from 2Life Communities: middle-income options
Designed to serve middle-income older adults, Opus Newton will be an all-new community built on the Leventhal Sidman JCC Campus in Newton, MA, and connected to our Coleman House community. Opus will fill the currently unmet need for senior living options within reach of those who have a home and savings, but who are not comfortable with the traditional, upscale options currently offered in the regional marketplace.
