SENIOR HOUSING IN GREATER BOSTON | APPLY NOW

We are excited about your interest!

Our mission at 2Life is to ensure that all seniors have the opportunity to thrive regardless of their income level or background. We offer income-based, subsidized housing to tax credit programs as well as market-rate rental options. Plus, with the introduction of Opus from 2Life Communities, we are creating a new option that puts community living within financial reach for seniors “in the middle” — those with too much income to qualify for subsidized housing and who are not comfortable with traditional upscale options.

Deciding which type of apartment is the best fit

The application form and process differ based on whether you qualify for an income-based apartment or are looking at market-rate options, including Opus by 2Life Communities, our new middle-income option.

To help you determine whether an income-based apartment is right for you, download our Affordable Community Qualifier Tool, which will take you through some easy steps to determine your options.

Market-rate apartment homes are a rental option for those whose income is too high to qualify for a subsidized option. Rent includes most utilities as well as a variety of programs and amenities that make 2Life market-rate apartments a highly desirable option for those who would like to experience the benefits and camaraderie of community living.

Apply early!

Many of our communities have a waiting list. Our Leasing Office will let you know when it receives your application and provide further information about the waitlist procedure. Applications are added to the list in the order in which they are received. The average time on our waitlist varies, and you are welcome to email our Leasing Office at leasing@2lifecommunities.org to check your status at any time.

In addition, each year you will receive a letter asking you to confirm your continued interest. You will need to respond to that communication to stay on the waitlist. When your name is close to the top, a member of the 2Life staff will contact you with further instructions and information to help you consider your next steps.
