Amy Schectman sworn in to the Massachusetts Housing Advisory Council

Amy Schectman, the Saul and Gitta Kurlat Chief Executive Officer of 2Life Communities, being sworn in to the Governor's Housing Advisory Council

On January 29, 2024, Amy Schectman, the Saul and Gitta Kurlat Chief Executive Officer of 2Life Communities, was sworn in to the Governor's Housing Advisory Council, a group of stakeholders and leaders from across Massachusetts charged with advising the Governor and the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities (EOHLC) on the formulation of state housing policy and the development of a comprehensive housing plan for Massachusetts.

Creation of this advisory council stems from the Healey-Driscoll Administration's Affordable Home Act, a package of spending, policy, and programmatic actions representing the largest proposed investment in housing in the state's history. This legislation includes $4 billion in capital spending authorizations and substantive policy changes, all directed at reducing barriers to the production and preservation of housing throughout the Commonwealth.

We are thrilled that Amy's expertise has been recognized by the Healey-Driscoll Administration, and that 2Life's steadfast commitment to creating service-enriched, meaningfully affordable housing for all older adults in Massachusetts will remain front and center.
